No one will be invisible

I know what it feels like to go through a moment in your life when everything changes.

I know what it feels like when people are there in the beginning, when the concern is loud, when everyone is checking in, and then little by little the world keeps moving.

And sometimes, without anyone meaning to, a person can start to feel invisible.

I never want anyone around me to feel that way.

Not an artist.
Not a dancer.
Not a musician.
Not someone working behind the scenes.
Not someone who is struggling.
Not someone whose moment has passed.
Not someone who suddenly cannot give what they used to give.

No one will be invisible on my watch.

Because people are not valuable only when they are performing, producing, succeeding, or useful to us.

They matter because they are people.

If you are part of my world, I want you to know that I see you.

I want to know your name.
I want to know when you are hurting.
I want to celebrate you when you are winning.
And when life gets difficult, I don't want you wondering if there is still a place for you.

There is.

We can build careers.
We can build shows.
We can build music, brands, businesses, and beautiful things.

But none of that means very much to me if we forget the people who helped build them.

So wherever this next chapter takes us, I want this to be part of what we stand for:

We don't leave people behind.

We don't allow people to disappear quietly.

We check on each other.
We make room for each other.
We remind each other that our value is bigger than what we can produce.

And if someone around me starts to feel invisible, I want us to notice.

Because as long as I have a voice, I want to use it to remind people that they matter.
